Pelatih PSMS kecewa timnya ditahan imbang Sriwijaya 2-2

PSMS Medan’s coach, Miftahudin Mukson, expressed his disappointment after his team could only secure one point in a match played at their home ground. The match ended in a 2-2 draw against Sriwijaya FC in the ongoing Group 1 of the Indonesian Liga 2 at the Teladan Stadium in Medan. “We are disappointed because we could only add one point while playing at home. We were leading at one point before the match ended in a draw,” he said after the match.

Despite the disappointment, Mukson still appreciated his players’ efforts throughout the game. He praised their spirit and determination to win, even though PSMS dominated the game statistically. PSMS showcased a fast-paced game in front of their passionate supporters at the Teladan Stadium. They took the lead 1-0 before the match eventually ended in a 2-2 draw.

Mukson mentioned that despite creating many opportunities, Sriwijaya’s solid defense made it difficult for his players to score goals. He acknowledged that football is unpredictable, and even though his team dominated the game, not everything went as planned. He stated that a thorough evaluation is needed, both in the defensive and offensive lines, as they did not perform as expected.

The draw against Sriwijaya requires Mukson to take full responsibility as the coach and evaluate the team’s performance comprehensively. He mentioned that the forward line needs improvement in terms of sharpness in scoring goals. Despite the players’ maximum effort, the result was not satisfying.

On the other hand, Sriwijaya FC’s coach, Yusuf Prasetiyo, admitted that he was slightly disappointed to only bring back one point from their visit to Medan. He had set a target of three points against PSMS from the beginning. The pressure was intensified by the slippery field due to rain in Medan, which hindered his team’s development. Despite having prepared strategies in advance to counter PSMS’s game, they did not perform up to their usual standards.

Prasetiyo considered it the worst performance of Sriwijaya FC in the Liga 2 so far. The players did not play according to their usual style, and several evaluations will be conducted to improve their future performances.

In conclusion, both PSMS Medan and Sriwijaya FC expressed their disappointment after the match ended in a 2-2 draw. PSMS’s coach acknowledged the need for a thorough evaluation, especially in the forward line, while Sriwijaya’s coach considered it their worst performance in the Liga 2. Both teams will analyze their shortcomings and work towards better results in future matches.
